Dear collegues

I have been asked if I would organize and edit a research section on the new EGATIN web site.

I see this as a possibility for all colleagues, students and others to be informed and inspired by old and new articles and presentations regarding advances in group analytic and group dynamic psychotherapy.

I see research in the clinical field not only as useful for arguing the value of group psychotherapy but also ethical mandatory when it comes to treatment of patients.

It is my hope that teachers in the institutes will find material to their training programmes and practicing group analysts to expand their knowledge about the use of groups.

Please write to me about new articles and presentations based on research and related projects, which could be interesting for all of us.

Psychiatrist, consultant psychotherapist and group analyst working in the National Mental Health Service at the Psychiatric University Hospital in Aarhus, Denmark.

He is Ph.D. and former associate clinical professor at the University in Aarhus.

He is the delegate from IGA-Aarhus and was president (2004-2009)

He has for years been involved in research in psychotherapy and has written a number of papers about Group Psychotherapy, Eating disorders, Assessment, Psychotherapy for patients with Schizophrenic disorders and of methods in psychotherapy research.
